I love X begins with Obama

I originally came up with the idea on Omidyar Network when Pam posted something about a small action – writing, in lipstick, on a bathroom mirror – I love you! So I thought, hey we should do this in a public space.

Much like seeing a baby, hearing I love you evokes positivity in all the recipients who hear it. So I wanted to do something of a flash mob screaming “I love you” to no one in particular at a big space like a major train depot. Maybe have a camera crew to document it? Maybe have people quickly in position, and spectactors can write I love [fill in the blank] on a white board and get a photo taken then upload to a website. Could be used for nonprofit purposes.

The new version is doing it on twitter, which is so easy to share!

I think we should have an I love Obama day. Then maybe after the election a general I love or #I<3 campaign so people can think about what they love and focus positive energy, even if only briefly.

So I started this blog to share about it and spread the word. The first ILoveX campaign starts Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Please help me spread the message.
